The Needlepoint Shoppe is a welcoming, community-focused needlepoint store in the heart of Old Town Midvale. We’re creating a “third place” for stitchers — from beginners to lifelong enthusiasts — to gather, learn, and connect. We offer canvases, threads, classes, and a space to stitch and stay awhile.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Retail Associate who loves creativity and community. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, appreciates craftsmanship, and wants to be part of building something special from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a warm, welcoming manner
• Provide guidance on canvases, threads, and basic needlepoint supplies
• Operate Shopify POS and handle transactions accurately
• Restock shelves and maintain organized, visually appealing displays
• Receive and process new inventory
• Assist with class preparation and in-store events
• Help maintain a clean, inviting shop environment

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred
• Interest in needlepoint, fiber arts, or creative hobbies (needlepoint experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train)
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Comfortable using technology (iPad, POS systems, email)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
